Abstract

Summary. The article shows that the main problem of modern technological systems for the application of sorption post-treatment methods is the development of environmentally friendly technologies with the maximum closed cycle and the minimum amount of waste. The study of wastewater treatment systems at machine- and instrument-making enterprises made it possible to consider the sorption method of wastewater after treatment promising. The use of natural materials in the treatment of industrial wastewater is acceptable from an environmental and economic point of view. The development, implementation and research of a multi-purpose sorption apparatus for post-treatment of industrial wastewater using alluvial sorption filters based on peat has been carried out. The optimal parameters of their operation have been determined. When testing a pilot plant, the main technological parameters of its operation were determined: the rate of filtration and washing of sorption loading, the duration of the filter cycle, as well as the flow rate of washing water from the volume of the filtrate. The efficiency of industrial wastewater treatment from the main pollutants has been achieved, which provides the effect of purification from suspended solids - 92%; from the total content of organic substances by COD - 68%, from total iron - 62%. The analysis of the obtained results is carried out, and recommendations are given on the possibility of post-treatment of industrial wastewater using alluvial sorption filters.

The subject of the study. Efficiency of industrial wastewater treatment at machinery and instrument-making enterprises from the main contaminants using alluvial sorption filters with the use of pulverized peat as a sorbent.

Materials and methods of research: Experimental studies have been carried out on a multipurpose sorption apparatus for post-treatment of industrial wastewater using alluvial sorption filters based on peat. During the experimental studies, the main technological parameters of its operation were determined: the rate of filtration and washing of sorption loading, the duration of the filter cycle, as well as the flow rate of washing water from the volume of the filtrate.

Results: To develop multi-purpose sorption devices operating in the technological processes of real production, experimental studies of technological processes of post-treatment of industrial wastewater by sorption using pulverized peat have been carried out. The efficiency of industrial wastewater treatment from the main pollutants has been achieved, which provides the effect of purification from suspended solids - 92%; from the total content of organic substances by COD - 68%, from total iron - 62%.

Conclusions. According to the results of experimental studies performed on a multi-purpose sorption after treatment apparatus, it was found that wastewater treatment systems at machine and instrument manufacturing enterprises using the sorption method of after treatment, with sorbent loading, in the form of pulverized peat are promising, as it allows to maximize the sorption reserve of the material, as well as to ensure guaranteed environmental safety with minimal consumption.
